Earlier this year, the Presbyterian Outlook asked me to serve as a blogger on an ad hoc basis, writing about seminary and the call process as I felt I had something to say. I wrote two pieces in this capacity. The first was posted this week, and the second should follow later this summer/in early fall.

I actually penned this piece in late May, just a bit after graduating from seminary. At that point, I did not know where God was calling me to serve, and so I graduated without a call and without permanent plans for employment. It was an uncomfortable and difficult place, so I felt compelled to document some of what it felt like from the inside while acknowledging how I perceived others in similar situations from the outside.
